"Future Innovation"
Initial position
3M campaigns internationally for the sustainable promotion of innovative culture. Within this context, 3M has launched an initiative in Austria entitled "Future Innovation", the key element of which is an online community platform.
Solution
Based on Drupal, the newly implemented online community platform forms an interface between companies and innovators. Companies can post their problems and offer a financial reward for solutions. Innovators can either reply with spontaneous creative ideas or with fully-developed concepts.
Benefits
With this platform, 3M will make a significant contribution towards enhancing the innovation culture. At the outset, renowned companies immediately registered and submitted their first questions. Now shortly after the go-live, the platform already has 500 innovators who have so far generated more than 300 ideas in the first two weeks.
