Unic was assigned the task of building a scalable framework with Adobe CQ5, designing the system architecture and implementing the design templates in HTML and CSS. One major challenge was to meet the different language and writing requirements for all of the geographic regions in which Audi is present. The problem was solved by writing scripts especially for Audi, which enabled 250,000 content pages to be migrated automatically. The user-friendly interface supports staff responsible for distributing content across the world as they manage content on the platform.
Audi stands for dynamism, progressiveness and sophistication. The automobile manufacturer is aiming to make the entire customer life cycle an online experience – from inspiration to evaluation, purchase and after sales. The new web platform inspires emotions and strengthens the identification with Audi, serving as the basis for online communication in nearly 100 countries. The extensive dealer network in Germany that forms a central pillar of customer relationships has been incorporated into the platform: dealers now have the option to create their own website on the multi-tenant system and conveniently integrate existing information services. In the German market, almost every dealer website is hosted on the Audi platform; worldwide, there are about 900 dealer websites.
